A Tribute That Sparked a Movement
Our Story
CPN Alumni & Friends Inc. was born in early 2024 from a simple yet powerful idea shared by a small circle of alumni — Marielle Lazard, Fritz Pierre, Anne-Darby Jacques, Ganel Fils, Marylin Julmis, and Myrtho Joseph. What brought them together was more than nostalgia; it was a deep desire to honor the extraordinary legacy of Maître Leroy Jean-François, the visionary former Principal of Collège Pratique du Nord.
What began as a heartfelt tribute quickly transformed into something bigger — a movement fueled by purpose. A movement to uphold the values that Principal Jean-François instilled in thousands of students:
excellence, discipline, leadership, and service.
From those early conversations emerged a clear mission:
to uplift today’s CPN students and strengthen the community that shaped us all. This mission took form through:
- Scholarships and tuition support
- Student and school enrichment initiatives
- A united, empowered, and globally connected alumni family
Momentum surged with the historic CPN Alumni & Friends Gala in September 2024, a celebration that brought together alumni from across the U.S. and Canada. It reignited a powerful spirit of pride, unity, and commitment to giving back.
Today, CPN Alumni & Friends Inc. continues to grow as a living testament to Principal Jean-François’s impact. We stand together — inspired by his example — to ensure that every CPN student has the opportunity to dream boldly, rise confidently, and lead with purpose.
