Board Members

Early Education

Dr. Marjorie I. Lazard was born in Limbe, near Cap-Haitian, in 1970. She was homeschooled until the age of six. From 1977 to 1981, she attended College Modèle, followed by College Pratique du Nord from 1981 to 1988.

Education in the United States

After migrating to the United States, Dr. Lazard completed her high school education at Oak Ridge and Evans High Schools from 1989 to 1990. She then attended Valencia Community College from 1990 to 1992, followed by the University of South Florida from 1993 to 1995. Dr. Lazard pursued her medical education at Tulane Medical School from 1996 to 2003.

Advanced Training and Medical Career

Following her medical degree, Dr. Lazard completed a fellowship in Cardiology at the University of South Florida from 2004 to 2007. Since 2007, she has been practicing adult Cardiology in Deland, Florida.

Myrtho Joseph attended College Pratique du Nord between 1983 and 1987. He holds a B.S. in Quantitative Economics & Statistics from C.T.P.E.A./UEH. After working for 10 years as a Data Analyst in Haiti, he left Haiti as a Fulbright scholar to study in the U.S. He obtained a master’s degree in environmental management from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. in urban geography at LSU. He is a certified GIS Professional and teaches GIS in College. He lives in Baton Rouge, is married, and has 3 adult children. Myrtho is passionate about helping people who are most vulnerable to change their quality of life. He co-founded Better Haiti in 2017 and served as the chair of its Board from 2017 until 2024. He is currently the vice president of Better Haiti.

Ganel Fils is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Fils International Consulting Group, Inc., an international boutique tax and advisory firm. With over 20 years of experience, he has led regional finance teams across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America within a global multi-billion-dollar organization.

At his firm, Ganel oversees financial management functions including accounting, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, tax compliance, and tax defense. Before founding his firm, he was a senior finance leader at G4S, the largest security firm in the world, where he focused on global financial reporting and strategic planning, global operations efficiencies, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

Ganel attended College Pratique du Nord from 1980 to 1987. He holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami, where he received the KPMG Peat Marwick Scholarship. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida.

Mr. Fritz E. Pierre was born on a Friday in November in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. He was raised in the northern region of the country. He began his education at College Modèle, where he completed kindergarten and a portion of his elementary education. He then continued his studies at College Notre Dame, where he completed a portion of his secondary education. Subsequently, he finished his secondary education at CPN and Lycee National Philippe Guerrier.

In 1990, Mr. Pierre relocated to the capital city and pursued higher education, earning degrees in Accounting Sciences, Management, and Marketing. It was also there that he met his wife. They were later blessed with wonderful children.

He has extensive experience as a Regional Director and Manager for Daddy Farm and Agrothecnic S.A. and as an Import and Export General Manager for Servicoop Enterprises. He is also the Co-founder and Owner of Assainix. Several years ago, he relocated to the United States with his family and currently resides in Massachusetts. He is employed as an Operations Manager for VPNE at BWH. His eldest child has graduated college and now lives in California, while his youngest child is diligently pursuing her college education.

It is often said, “To one much is given, much is required.” It is my profound desire to use my blessings to the service of others. I look forward to providing much-needed mentorship to the rising generation of young men and women from my alma mater. I have over 25 years of experience in the environmental health and safety compliance industry working for the City of New York. I attended College Pratique du Nord from 1981 to 1986. I currently hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health with a minor in French Literature and Francophone Studies as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Education.

Anne-Darby Jacques attended Collège Pratique du Nord from 1981 to 1988. She holds a bachelor’s degree in career development from the University of Québec in Montréal, Canada, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from GOC University in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She is the proud mother of a young woman who is currently a law student. Anne-Darby has been working for the Quebec Public Services for over twenty years.
